Eliot House Nursing Home is a Grade Two listed building set in its own extensive grounds and is situated in the rural village of Morton overlooking the river. It was one time residence of author George Eliot and the setting for her novel “Mill on the Floss”. Residents have control over the pattern of daily life, including waking times, meal times and when retiring to bed. To ensure safety and wellbeing, there will be staff on duty at all times. The Home Manager is supported by a dedicated team of staff all of whom are highly trained and have considerable experience in all aspects of care
At Eliot House Nursing Home we offer a range of social activities for each resident, e.g. game sessions, crafts, sing along, excursions, pub lunches etc. Our in-house Activities Co-Ordinator is responsible for the organisation of these events and plans these to suit the individual needs of our residents. We ask residents and their families to offer their ideas and suggestions and residents are encouraged to maintain existing hobbies where possible. Delivery of newspapers and magazines can be arranged upon request.
"...my dad came in for two weeks from hospital not walking, within two days dad was on his feet and walking. All the staff from the cleaners to cooks, nurses and manager go the extre mile for the guests, it feels like home. The food was lovely and everyone is kind and caring..."
