Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information
The MPS Care Home Group continues to adhere to the guidelines set by Public Health England Agency. The health and wellbeing of our residents and staff are of utmost priority. Therefore we ask that you please contact the homes directly about visiting opportunities as well as new care enquiries as we are safely accepting new residents.
At Alston View, we take pride in providing the best quality of care for all our residents. Every individual is unique, and everyone requires a different level of care, which is why we specialise in a range of different care types. Despite this, we still like our residents to maintain a sense of independence and freedom, something which becomes ever more important as we get older.
That’s where the beautiful sights of Ribble Valley come in, creating a stunning and inspiring landscape for our residents to look out at day after day. While the calming presence of nature can be felt even while indoors, our grounds are fully accessible, meaning our residents can soak up some sun during the summer months in a pleasant and safe environment.
Although we enjoy the peaceful quiet of our grounds, we’re also close to the local shops in Longridge which you can access via regular buses throughout the day. Being so close to local amenities helps us feel connected to our community, while also providing a welcome range of unique activities.
To provide the care that is most appropriate for your loved ones, we undertake a thorough analysis of their needs and requirements. At Alston View, our long-serving team is experienced and able to adapt to a range of situations, providing exceptional and effective care as an utmost priority. Amongst other forms of daily care, our carers here specialise in:

We know that in old-age there is a real risk of becoming isolated and lonely. That’s why we take our activities programme so seriously, filling much of our time at Alston View with sociable activities. Bingo, quizzes, card games, sing-alongs – you name it, we’ve done it, and we’ll continue to do it as long as our residents are still excited to get involved:
We want every one of our residents to enjoy themselves as much as possible. For a more detailed look at the activities on offer across the MPS Care Group, please visit our activities page.
What we eat has a significant impact on our health and wellbeing, which is why our dining hall at Alston View is always brimming with fresh, nutritious and varied meals for us to enjoy as a family.
Our excellent menu has only been made possible through our partnership with apetito, the leading food producer for the health and social care sector. Sharing our values of enhancing health & wellbeing, apetito provides delicious, nutritious and sustainable meals to ensure that no person in care or at home goes hungry.
