Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information
The MPS Care Home Group continues to adhere to the guidelines set by Public Health England Agency. The health and wellbeing of our residents and staff are of utmost priority. Therefore we ask that you please contact the homes directly about visiting opportunities as well as new care enquiries as we are safely accepting new residents.
Our home is a luxurious Victorian house conversion with beautiful bay windows, green garden areas and an enclosed courtyard where residents can safely relax and socialise in private. We’re also just a 5-minute walk away from the town centre, making us very well connected to the community, church and local GP.
At Highfields, all our staff are highly trained and experienced in providing care of all different types. One of the most important values we hold is our commitment to ensuring that residents have an opportunity to select from a range of options in all aspects of their lives. Throughout all our daily interactions, we treat your loved ones with dignity and respect, promoting a person-centred approach in everything we do.
Our home is dementia friendly with interactive walls, discussion boards, locally named areas for corridors and quiet areas when residents need to take a moment to themselves. We also have a salon for hairdressing services, and a secured outdoor courtyard.
To provide the care that is most appropriate for your loved ones, we undertake a thorough analysis of their needs and requirements. At Highfields, our long-serving team is experienced and able to adapt to a range of situations, providing exceptional and effective care as an utmost priority. Amongst other forms of daily care, our carers here specialise in:

Keeping active and healthy in our senior years is of such great importance. We are convinced that, to stay happy and healthy, we need to keep active and social, so we always have plenty of things organised to keep us busy:
These activities are all organised by our Activity Coordinator throughout the week. For a more detailed look at the activities on offer across the MPS Care Group, please visit our activities page.
Alongside staying active, a healthy diet is one of the most important factors contributing to a healthy and happy lifestyle. That’s why we have teamed up with apetito, the leading food producer for the health and social care sector.
apetito makes healthy and nutritious meals to help people at home or in care maintain a diverse and balanced diet. The meals vary every day, but what never changes is the quality. One thing is certain at Highfields, your loved ones will never go to bed on an empty stomach.
If you’d like to take a more detailed look at our partnership with apetito, or to browse a selection of the menus available at any of MPS Care Group’s homes, please visit our dining experiences page.

In keeping with this philosophy, we are introducing a specialist Domiciliary Care team who will be on call to provide exceptional care within the comfort of a person’s own home.
If you live near Highfields, we will soon be able to send a member of our Domiciliary Care team to regularly check in with you, meaning you can remain happy and safe while living independently at home. Some people aren’t ready to let go of their home comforts just yet. With Domiciliary Care, you don’t have to. For more information, please visit our designated domiciliary care page.
