Longton Nursing and Residential Home is a purpose-built care home set in landscaped gardens providing nursing and residential care to people in need of assisted living. Located towards the start of the Ribble Way riverside walk, we have beautiful views and fresh air in abundance, and are proud to call ourselves a care home that truly cares.
Our staff are qualified and trained to the highest degree, with a history of providing an excellent standard of care within a safe and homely environment. For that reason, it’s no coincidence that Longton has developed an excellent reputation for care in recent years, both in the local area and beyond.
A care home that truly cares.

If having the Ribble Way riverside walk at your fingertips wasn’t enough, we even have our own landscaped gardens for that added touch of private tranquillity.

Our staff have a vast amount of experience across a range of care types, and we have strived for many years to create a homely environment where all our residents can live with independence and dignity.
For any avid engineers, our first floor lounge houses an electric train set, while our Activity Coordinator also takes the time to organise a number of seasonal activities and trips out into the local community.

These activities run throughout the week, and we often take requests on what things we should do next. For a more detailed look at the activities on offer across the MPS Care Group, please visit our activities page.
Tasty, nutritious food is the key to a healthy lifestyle. That’s why we’ve partnered with our friends at apetito, the leading food producer for the health and social care sector.
apetito delivers fresh food of the highest quality to Longton every single day. Prioritising nutritional value and a diverse, balanced diet, apetito’s experienced chefs give our residents the energy they need to keep up with our daily activities. Eating is also a great time to catch up and have a chat, so we all enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner together.
